John has more than twenty years of experience working in the financial services/alternative investments industry where he has served in senior roles as a private equity investor on behalf of institutional and family office clients.

 

John has been responsible and/or played a leadership role in the allocation and investment of several billion dollars of capital into private equity and alternative investments funds both in the US and abroad during his career.  

 

At Cavallino, John leads the firm’s investment strategy and processes in private equity working with other senior members of the firm to drive best practices in the execution of investment ideas and industry focused capital strategies.  A key part of John’s role at Cavallino is to identify and manage strategic capital sources and funding partners for the firm’s capital activities.

 

Prior to joining Cavallino, Mr. Dominguez served as founder and Managing Director of Institutional Global Investors, a multi-strategy focused alternative investment firm investing Emerging Asia.   He previously served as Managing Director of SVB Capital, Head of Private Equity at Hall Capital Partners and prior to that as the Director of Alternative Investments at the Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association.
