John is a senior executive with deep experience in Retail, Supply Chain and Technology and is Chairman and CEO of Cavallino’s Capital and Advisory businesses.

John is well versed in traditional as well as modern business structures; always playing to and capitalizing upon the organization’s strengths, and ultimately inspiring a success-oriented culture. He has inherent financial and business acumen related to an organization’s operations infrastructure, planning processes and methods of operational execution. John has proven continued success in elite and competitive management and leadership environments.

In 2007, John founded Cavallino to serve both Consulting and Capital clients.  After spending several years in senior leadership roles at Wal-Mart, LVMH, Target, and as a National Practice Partner at KPMG, John understood the need for a company that could “roll up its sleeves” and provide unique, game changing strategies.

John’s problem solving and strategic abilities have been instrumental in achieving success for advisory clients included in the Fortune 500.  His leadership has shaped the Cavallino portfolio companies into successful businesses.

John has authored many publications and participated in strategic industry groups. He recently authored a book “Healthcare, Heal Thyself”.  He has been a Strategic Advisor to the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and an Advisor to the President of the United States on National Security; past chairman of the Retailer Industry Leaders Association (RILA).; frequent speaker at conferences on different disciplines; past author of Kelly School of Business “Perspectives on Retailing”, the Financial Times and Industry Week.  John has also been seen on CNBC’s Squawk Box discussion on retail and economic related topics.
